Standing Seam with Nail Flange is a 24-gauge Grade 50 Galvalume hidden-fastener metal roofing panel. Installation uses a nail flange that attaches to the roof deck, keeping all fasteners out of sight and off the weather face. It shares the same gauge, grade, colors, and trim line as the Snap Lock profile — the main difference is how it handles thermal movement. Nail Flange is best suited for panel runs up to 16 feet where thermal expansion stress is manageable.

Standing Seam with Nail Flange is the traditional standing seam approach, using a nail flange attachment. It shares the same colors, 24 gauge Galvalume, and trim line as our Snap Lock profile. Because a nail flange locks the panel down more rigidly, it's generally recommended for shorter panel runs of 16 feet and under.
What this panel actually looks like in cross-section — including how it's fastened.

The fastening system is the difference: a nail flange extending from the seam base is fastened directly to the deck with exposed screws, then covered by the next panel. Same 16"-wide standing seam look as Snap Lock, optimized for runs 16' and under.
This exact color palette is shared by both Snap Lock Standing Seam and Standing Seam with Nail Flange.

Every trim piece is fabricated to your exact specifications in matching panel colors — not a generic off-the-shelf approximation. This trim line is shared by both standing seam profiles.
24-gauge Grade 50 Galvalume. The same gauge and grade as Snap Lock Standing Seam — Grade 50 is used because standing seam's tight forming bends require softer, more ductile steel.
16 feet. Beyond that, the fixed nail flange can't accommodate the thermal expansion and contraction of longer panels effectively. For runs over 16 feet, Snap Lock Standing Seam with its floating clip system is the right choice.
Each panel covers 16 inches of width — 1 linear foot equals 1.33 square feet of coverage.
The fastening method. Nail Flange has an exposed flange that's screwed directly to the deck, then covered by the adjoining panel — a faster install for experienced crews on shorter runs. Snap Lock uses a hidden clip that allows independent thermal movement, making it better suited for longer panel runs (over 16 feet).
1/2" or 5/8" plywood sheathing is recommended. Purlins at 16" on center are an acceptable alternative.
A 40-year Kynar paint warranty and a 25-year Red Dot Galvalume metal warranty — the same coverage as Snap Lock Standing Seam.
